Privacy
This page covers the masterallarts.com website and your MasterAllArts account. The Simple Art iPhone and iPad app collects no data and has its own privacy page.
The short version
We keep what we need to run your account and your Premium membership, and nothing else. We don't sell or share your data, and we don't run advertising trackers.
What we store
- Account: your email, your name and, if you set one, a hashed password (we never store the password itself). If you sign in with an email link, we store a hashed copy of the link's token until it is used or expires.
- Membership: your plan (free, monthly, yearly or lifetime), its status, the dates of the current period, and the Stripe customer, subscription or checkout IDs that tie your account to your payments.
- Learning: which lessons you've completed, and any reviews, questions or answers you post.
- Security: short-lived rate-limit counters keyed by IP address, to slow down abuse of sign-in, password reset and checkout.
Payments (Stripe)
Premium bought on the website is paid through Stripe Checkout. Stripe collects your card details, email and billing country, and processes them under Stripe's privacy policy. Stripe tells us the email, plan, status and amounts so we can unlock Premium; we never receive your full card number. Invoices and payment methods are managed in Stripe's billing portal, reached from your account page.
We email you only for your account: sign-in links, password resets and receipts or notices about your membership. Newsletter emails are sent only if you subscribe, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
Cookies
One sign-in cookie (auth_token, HttpOnly, 7 days) keeps you signed in. We don't set advertising or
cross-site tracking cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages to prevent fraud.
Content delivery
Pages, images, narration and 3D scenes are served through Cloudflare. As with any website, your IP address is part of each request; we don't use it to profile you.
Your choices
Email us to get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account. Deleting an account ends any Premium on it; cancel a subscription first if you don't want it to renew. We keep payment records only as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
